Ongoing volunteer projects include:
Picking and prepping the produce for CSA bags and the Horner Park Farmer's Market.
Weeding, Weeding, and more Weeding!
It's a farm - there is ALWAYS something to be done!
Past projects include: putting the garden hoses away, planting bed clean up, adding wood chips to paths and general clean up. Come help us! Neighbors and volunteers are welcome to join us, meet the farmers, and enjoy being outdoors! Come prepared to get dirty! Enjoy the day! Children who bring a responsible adult are very welcome.
Volunteer Positions for 2017:
CSA Assistant: Guide the selection, picking, packaging of CSA shares and tracking customer pickups.
Market Day Coordinator: Track sales data; includes crops sold, number of customers, etc.
Master Composter: Guide crew on how to maintain the compost, turning, layering, moisturizing.
Beekeeping Guide: Experienced beekeepers to teach how to maintain beehives. Bees are crucial for garden pollination which increases the crop yield.
